Vladimir Dinets

I am a zoologist interested in animal behavior, evolution and conservation. Currently I work at Louisiana State University on whooping crane reintroduction. In 2011, I obtained my Ph.D from the University of Miami, studying the "languages" of crocodiles, alligators and their relatives. After that, I worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee, studying play behavior and behavioral heretability. In my spare time, I enjoy searching for rare animals in remote parts of the world, as well as nature and travel writing and photography.
